Senior Management Team


David Vida, Jr. - President and Chief Executive Officer
David was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Master Financial, Inc. David was also the Sr. Vice President of Alternative markets and Business Opportunities at Option One Mortgage Corporation where he was responsible in starting the captive vendor management division. He also led the executive team on the vision for the company's future operating model and production platform. In 2001, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Delphi Global Solutions, a leading provider of decision science solutions for the financial services industry. David also was President and co-founder of City Mortgage Services, a national originator and servicer of junior lien mortgages. During that time he also served as Executive Vice President of City Holding Company a publicly traded bank. David is a Certified Public Accountant and worked at KPMG specializing in mortgage banking and leading edge technology.

Joe Dahleen - Senior Vice President and Co-founder
Joe has over 17 years of professional experience as a mortgage banker and as a technology solutions manager. During the last 10 years, he has been primarily engaged in the application of technology in the mortgage industry in addition to holding positions in sales as Vice President and Director of Business Development. His experience includes software product management, project management, business process analysis, system design, and system implementation. Prior to joining MILA, Inc in January 2003 Joe worked with other executives to help build Finance America, LLC a subsidiary of Lehman Brothers ALI. There he helped develop the underwriting guidelines and risk based pricing that streamlined the underwriting decision criteria. He also was project manager of Private Label web development and used that technology to expand the online business channel.

Joe developed and implemented automated underwriting, risk based pricing and the AVM appraisal system at Ocwen Financial Services, a division of Ocwen Financial Corporation. Joe has had a very successful career in wholesale mortgage banking as Vice President and Director of Business Development at Long Beach Mortgage Company. He has strong in-depth knowledge of secondary marketing, loan production and quality control procedures. He is uniquely qualified in combining all of these skills while leading financial services companies to radically revamp their business strategy.

Most recently at MILA, as Director of Sales Production, he uses innovative technology to help its customers build a new business model and integrate it into their existing operations. This business model includes the integration of mortgage technology solutions to automate the point of sales loan commitment process, reduce the cost of doing business, increase user productivity while streamlining internal operational workflows.

Kent Jolliff – Sr. Vice President / General Counsel
Kent was most recently the General Counsel for Wilson & Associates, PLLC and Supervising Attorney for the Firm’s Asset Recovery Group. His practice concentrated in the areas of regulatory matters related to mortgage banking and mortgage servicing; creditor rights; assisting in litigation related to residential mortgage servicing; and legislative affairs. As a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arkansas, Assistant General Counsel for a publicly traded financial services company and mortgage service provider and private practitioner, he has over 25 years of experience in regulatory compliance matters and in the financial services industry. Kent also serves as Co-Chairman of the Legal Services Committee for the American Financial and Legal Network (AFN); Participating Member of the AFN Legal Professionals Executive Committee; and has served as Vice-Chairman of the Commercial/Multi-Family Committee for the USFN, America’s Mortgage Banking Attorneys.

Gordon Buford – Chief Financial Officer
Gordon was most recently the Controller, VP Finance of BillMatrix Corporation, a $125M biller-direct payment services company. He has over 16 years of accounting and finance experience. For the past 3 years, Gordon led BillMatrix’s finance and accounting function under high growth and demanding conditions. He transitioned BillMatrix from small business practices to a sophisticated corporate accounting and reporting environment. Prior to BillMatrix, he was the Assistant Controller with Trammell Crow Company, a $700M real estate services company, served as the lead Sr. Financial Analyst at Santa Fe Int’l and served as Regional Controller for Palm Harbor Homes. Gordon is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a currently licensed CPA.

Joshua Nowack - Sr. Vice President - Finance and Accounting
Josh Nowack was most recently the Finance Director at Master Financial where he established the firm's budgeting and forecasting process. Prior to that, Josh led the business planning and analysis team at Option One Mortgage a subsidiary of H & R Block. Josh was also responsible for cash flow forecasting for the trade and academic publishing businesses of Person, plc, Person Education and Penguin USA. He is a licensed CPA and earned his MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Jason Tanaka - Sr. Vice President - Information Technology
Jason Tanaka has spent the past 7 years at Option One Mortgage serving in several roles including Vice President of Vendor Strategy, Senior Strategy Project Manager, Senior Software Architect and Software Development Manger. During that time he led initiatives such as the end-to-end off shoring of origination functions, processes and technology. Prior to Option One, he served as a principal and chief architect for a software consulting company and has over 11 years in the technology arena throughout various industries.
